Follow some of the tips below to increase the security of you and your car
when parking: City Centre Parking
recommend that you should:
- always lock your car doors and boot
- ensure your windows and sun roof are
closed
- set your alarm or immobiliser
- use security devices such as a steering
wheel lock if you have them
- hide any valuables or take them with you
(however, if you are going to lock valuables in the boot, don’t do it
where you park the car as someone could be watching you)
- never leave your registration, insurance
or ownership papers in the glove box
- carry your keys ready to unlock the doors
when returning to your vehicle and, once inside, lock the doors
- if your stereo has a removable front,
take it with you
- always retract the aerial, to avoid the
risk of it being vandalised
- don't leave any clues visible to indicate
that the driver is a woman
- if you attach any suction devices to
your windscreen rub off the marks
- if you are leaving your car for an
extended length of time in your space then tell us and use our security
monitoring service. For a small fee we can check your car while you are
away and send you a text message to reassure you your car is ok
